Most Car shows a Modified car does much better then original except when a corvette club is putting on the show. This is not always true as it depends on the car club. The corvette club I belong to 90% of the cars are modified. We had our annual show this last weekend. Most of the classes were won by a modified car. When I lived in CA the rules of the shows were much stricter.

Most shows I attend are mostly street rod shows.. I personalty do not care if I win.. But I normally do win in my highly modified 37. I will take the Vette to a few when its finished... I just enjoy looking at what others have done and seeing lots of friends...

I seldom show I got butt chapped years ago when the nicer cars didn't win and some shill won, I was see a cat work his self to death and have a super car beaten over and over by some shop trailer queen that wasn't nicer....

Most of the shows are not ones that have cash prizes. Shows that give cash prized are not for charity so I would not attend anyway.

I like to go to the shows just to BS with the people. If I win fine..if not fine..to many people are obsessed with trophys. I always say with that trophy and $2.00 you can get a cup of coffee...
