So my rear passenger break is leaking fluid so I removed the caliper(s). Are the calipers date coded? I see Delco Moraine 3473808 on them. I believe they are original to the car however I have no idea of knowing for sure.
Assuming they are original, where should I send them for rebuild assuming that is the correct thing to do?
or
Should I just replace the entire caliper with new calipers from NAPA? My C3 is my new found love however I am not going to be winning any awards with it. That being said, I want to keep it original as possible.
Perhaps I should get it back on the road with NAPA and send them out for rebuild? What is your thought on the matter?
your 69 came with 545 castings, what you see as 347 is actually 547, 547 castings weren`t used until (I believe) 1973. I bought a race car up by the Dells last year, it came with a set of stainless steel sleeved 545 calipers still in boxes, the guy loaned them to someone for a couple of weeks 20 years ago, I would sell them as-is or with fresh seals, if you or anyone else is interested send a PM

If you would like original castings for your car give us a call, we can do matching casting sets that match your car. I'd love to help you keep your car looking as though it is still as original as possible.
