My '76 was a factory Maroon Color (now in primer). I've been looking around at different colors in the "Maroon / Burgundy Family" in case I don't want to repaint the original color.
I've seen many darker colors that seem to have too much "purple", but I've found a few "Plum Color / Dark Colors" that look similar to yours and I'm really starting to like those.
Corvettes don`t "leak oil"....
they "mark their territory"!
That's a good one. Weird thing is that I expected some drips here and there but - at least in nearly 4 days - there isn't one drip of anything underneath the car and I've had it out each day. I have drip pans too.
Maybe I should check again and make sure there are fluids left if the car??
Added a couple of new pics when I got them both out yesterday. I know, need to take the top off the C3 and have some fun! Going to have the front suspension rebuilt when the parts arrive and then the fun will begin.
You all have been very kind and helpful - wasn't planning on getting another vette - I think that's the best kind of surprise.
nice looking car, part of me wants to see the original war bonnet yellow, but that paint job looks nice.
I would skip the RH mirror for the reasons stated above. I don't have one on my '72, and I don't see any reason to put one on. With the top down, a quick head check is better than any little mirror. (I drive with the top down 90% of the time.)
