Default Dash protection

I'm looking for a dash pad for my 82 collector edition vette. The kind that you can take on and off to protect it from the sun. Any suggestions. Thanks

I got one from Mid America Corvette..for my 78 C3..Yours probably very similar..attaches with velcro..Has the spots for radio speakers and defroster vent.My dash is in perfect shape..but it's oyster white like the leather interior..I got a black dash mat and it eliminates the glare line when one looks out the windshield..Jim

I found what your talking about. Is it easy to install. How does the velcro come into play?

If I had a nice dash, I wouldn't want to glue velcro to it, kinda defeats the purpose. Maybe just lay it on there to keep the sun off.

Yes it is simple to install..Velcro strips have adhesive on mating parts.Position 2" strips along the front edge facing the driver and corresponding strips opposite on the dash. Also perhaps in front of defroster vent..
BEFORE you position the velcro, place the pad on the dash and get a feel for how it fits..
Before you press it down on the velcro..position the pad left to right properly and gently press the windshield edge down into the area between windshield and dash..A wide flat smooth stick like a tongue depresser is good for getting the pad snugly between windshiel glass and the vinyl dashboard..Jim
