Assuming the car is for sale, I would not pay any more for it than what any other undocumented car in supposedly excellent condition with a NOM big block is worth. How do you even know the motor is actually an L89, other than having aluminum heads and a tripower setup? Is the Tonawanda stamp still visible?

NOTE: in 1969, there is a TANK STICKER documenting what options that car came with. LOOK AT IT!
correctly date coded and casting number block, aluminum heads, intake and carbs will always be a a major increment in price above a everyday NOM big block. a missing stamp is lots better than a wrong stamp. price it somewhere in between..

Unfortunately the 512 block was used for everything from my L36 thru and including the L88. The car the OP is looking at could be an L36 made to look like an L89...even with a casting date that satisfies the NCRS 6 month time frame. Once the Tonawanda stamp is ground off, who really knows? Heads, manifold and carbs are available...along with TI. I would not price it any higher than the cost of those items.
Thanks everyone for your input. The owner is a friend and customer of mine that has a very nice Ford collection. He got the 1969 L89 and a 1954 in a package deal for a Ford he was trying to obtain. He is not a "Chevy fan"and knows I am. He had both cars surveyed/inspected and got a clean bill of health, other than no tank sticker and the block decked on the 1969. The 69 is a convertible with a hard top. Both cars have been restored. So my question is...dollar value not having documentation? Value of a 69 Tri-power with aluminum heads. Thanks again for the input.
