Default Corvette purchase evaluation questions

Have had a bunch of C3s my latest was a 72 LT1 m

Need another set of eyes on this 71 454 i looked at today

photos are hard to make out
here are 2 at base of windshield under vin number, photos on pass side didnt come out due to glue

here were the inside of dor jam fender area, I had never seen so clean before but thats me

Any comments or advice

Hi pdm,
The first pictures show a very rusty windshield post.
That's likely just the tip of the RUST iceberg!
Even the position of the fender trim relative to a-pillar ss trim indicates something's amiss in that area.
There's no reason to knowingly buy a rusty Corvette.

I have bought other cars from this gentleman and was just ready to just test drive & load n go, the car drove great , but I decided to do my usual due inspection anyways and I'm glad I did, Im used to evaluating cars quickly and I go right to a few spots and I fell that once I find 3 things I dont like , I pass
