The corvette dune buggy is actually a first gen Bradley kit car,

So you did all that driving in a c3, that is so odd because so many people on here say that you cant drive a c3 like that...weird....

Thanks for the share of story and pix very motivating for me....

I've often done trips like yours, but on the Harley. One question--where do you park it at nights? In front of your motel room? Campsite? I would worry about doing a trip like this in my '60 or '66, although with somewhat less worry in my '74 (afraid of vandalism/theft).

Honestly I don't worry about it much. It's insured and I find it takes the fun out of it if I'm always worrying about the car. I park it in front of the hotel in a place that is very visible. I take everything of value out of it. Not much else you can do.
I did have someone try to vandalize the car while I was in it. I had to pull out on a road in Everette that was being worked on and it was covered in loose gravel. There was a guy in a little modified rx7 or something all flared out and with every body panel a different color. He was passing by in front of me and I pulled out turning left after he passed me. As soon as I got out behind him he revved it up and dumped the clutch and tried to spray the side of my car with gravel. I'm not sure why he did it. It didn't do and damage but he tried real hard. I was so mad.

Beautiful C3 and great pics!

I grew up in Seattle (my wife would say that I only 'aged' there). We take a road trip every fall, and last year did the N Cascades highway, Leavenworth, etc. in our C7. Great trip!

I really like the fact that you'll jump in your C3 and just go. I'm updating ours right now so that we can do the same and not worry about 45 year old parts.

Thanks very much for sharing - very cool!

I didn't just jump in it....lol I spent a lot of time on it over the winter and a good day getting it ready before we left. There's a few things that were bugging me but I figured if it was gonna go I'd fix it on the road or just figure it out. I brought a bunch of tools but thankfully I didn't need them. It ran smooth as glass.

I grew up in Gig Harbor...moved to Kalamazoo, then to Scottsdale, the Los Angeles and finally ended up back here in the Pacific Northwest. I am about an hour north of Spokane and 45 min east of Sandpoint, Idaho. If anyone is up for a road trip, we have some beautiful country up here! Thanks for the post!

Back in the mid 80's I knew a fellow who auto crossed a Bradley like that one, 1600 vw with just the swing rear axle, the wild thing was he could out drive some cats with some pretty sweet cars including a few corvettes c2/c3
