There was no factory green for 78. For 79, it's code 58 Dark Green. If memory serves, Polo Green is a C4 color.

Thanks guys! Exactly what I was looking for.. I guess I got the color name wrong because I currently own a polo green C-4. I gave my green C-3 to my son as a graduation present.
If anyone else has pics please post them.

Not to doubt #4 rklessdrever but for '79 "Corvette Dark Green" our colors sure seem different. Also in '79 rocker panels (except the upper accent) and front/rear window moldings were black, not bright.
I believe that '79 "Corvette Dark Green" was a one-year only color. It is highly metallic and changes greatly with light. The type of "car guys" who normally want first to see the engine say to me, "I love that color."

When I first saw my car 20 plus years ago I wasn't sure what color it actually was. It was raining and a little dark out. The car looked black, blue, not really green until I had it repainted. Of course I was glad it was green because the interior was also green and any other color exterior what of been a disaster.

I'm not sure if the PO had it painted back the correct 79 Green color or not.... it does have a lot of metallic in it and changes color depending on light.
