Corre t 23' long. It was longer than my bosses 1990 fullsize extended cab Silverado truck. What a comfy ride. Healthy 390 and cornered like an ocean liner.
The Mustang and Trans Am are generally considered pony cars or GT cars.

The 60's cars are muscle cars, just straight line fast, great quarter milers or cruisers. Having a few different models over the years. In my opinion, they cant handle the turns that a corvette can at the same speed.

Threw the last one in to see if anyone knows what she was.
The term muscle car has evolved into anything with a high hp V8 lately. In it's purest form a muscle car is an intermediate such as a Chevelle, GTO, Road Runner, etc. Pony cars are Mustangs, Camaros, Challengers, etc. That leaves the Corvette in a sports car category which is what it is. That's what it started out as and that's how it will go out. My $.02.
I agree, I had a 68 Charger R/T back in the day, that was a muscle car. I now have (besides my 76 Corvette), a Challenger SRT that is pretty darn fast but I would still say it's a pony car...

I had a 69 non R/T. I swapped the 318 out for a built 440. It was a rust bucket so I transferred the drive train to a 70 Challenger. Sold the Challenger shortly after I enlisted in the USAF. My next car will be a Challenger Hellcat.

The 440 was a bad *** engine! I had to sell my Charger (well didn't have to I could have just parked it), when I was in the Army, couldn't afford it. I was an E4, collecting jump pay, separate rations, off post housing and I made a whopping $849 a month, with a family it was just too hard to keep up on the car. Should have parked it but I digress, I just bought a Challenger SRT, LOVE IT, will be putting a cam in it soon. I would have loved to get a Hellcat but I have plans on retiring in 4 1/2 years so I got what will help me achieve that and don't regret it, it's a bad *** car and is auwfully pretty My poor Corvette has been sitting in the garage ever since, I've been promising her I'm going to take her out for a spin soon...
