Default Convertible Question
Do they make C3's in convertibles with automatics? The girlfriend wants to get one as a restoration project but she's only really wanting a convertible in automatic. I've only been able to find manuals, I know we could always swap an auto if we really needed.

Yes, you could get automatic or manual in convertible.

I have a 68 convertible with auto, very nice driver. But up to 1972, most buyers wanted a manual transmission. Look for a nice driver 74-75 convertible in auto, a much easier find and for less money than a chrome bumper, respectively

My 1974 with stock TH400 3-speed. It was option M40 and 25,146 went out the factory door.

Yes and you are in luck because they are usually cheaper than a standard shift.
