I made this from scrap wood. Still have use of the E-brake (used twice: once to see if the dash light worked and again tonight to take this pic). Attaches to the console with double-backed tape. Actually works pretty good. Have a great week, Bill
Finally got my cup holder. I purchased the one that screws down. I first installed it as it came, black but I didn't like the look. I had some interior dye left over from some previous projects so I decided to dye it. I think it turned out good and I like it better than black.
I did the rastafford3164 PVC pipe mod. I made my pipe 2 1/4" long. My Tervis or Yeti still didn't fit too well so I took my Dremel and beveled the inside diameter. Now both fit very snug. I'm happy with the results.
Since I'm usually by myself when I'm in my C3, I ordered a single cup/phone/change holder from Amazon that cost about $6.00...
it slips down between the passenger seat and the e-brake console. I had to slightly notch the bottom to get it to sit a bit deeper, but it's f'n perfect for my car. It's also black like my interior. Looks great, takes up little room, solves the problem.
Holds my large Whataburger cup easily, MUCH better than trying to drive and balance a large drink cup on the seat or between your legs.
mardyn - I'm using mine as my daily driver right now but I wanted two when we go on road trips. I only made one PVC pipe mod at this time as I ran out of dye. I'm getting more dye and I'll keep tweaking the PVC mod until it's perfect.
I'd love to see a picture of your setup or just link up to the Amazon page.

Amazon has em with either single or double cup holders. Simply slips in between the seat and console, no screws, no tape, no Velcro. It's pretty firm in there and doesn't shift around even wth a large cup of drink

I just got the same, I am assuming you remove the 2 console screws and replace with the supplied longer black screws.
I have a silver interior so not thrilled how it looks black, and like others have said it is not deep, not sure if it will be in the way shifting with a manual.
Any other good cupholders out there? Got this from Ecklers.

Yes, I used the screws that came with it and I dyed them saddle as well even though you can't really see them. It's just my OCD I guess.
I'm sure the vendor sell silver dye if you don't like the black.
It doesn't get in the way of me shifting, at least not yet as I'm using the passenger side plus years ago I changed my shifter (stock) to the short throw holes so it doesn't move to the back of the shifter hole like it used to.

Yes, it has the inserts but they are too small for the cup I posted and I use that cup most of all. See the OP and the picture in my install post. And for the people that asked if a Yeti will fit, no not in the original configuration but the 3 1/2 inch PVC pipe mod it fits good with a little sanding of the ID as described in my install post.
I'm sorry fellas (and those that dont pee standing up) but I just dont understand this obsession with cupholders, and forcing them into tight spaces, guess I'm getting too old
