I have pics (I have to locate them), but I finally decided to pull out my seats and my carpet. The seats are going to be fully restored from the frame to the new covers. That's being down by my neighbor who owns a car customization shop. The current interior of the car is gray, but I really wanted to change the color to a Spaudling (basketball) brown. Has anyone change their interior color? The majority of my interior panels are intact so I should be able to paint/dye those. My neighbor said he could have the dash wrapped in basketball brown leather also. The exterior is Bright Blue. I'm not getting in over my head, am I? I also need to run new stereo wires, replace my windshield wiper motor, replace my neutral safety switch, and fix my speedo which is not working (I might have a bad gear).

I did the same thing last winter. Pulled the interior to un bubbafi the dash and I couldnt be happier. The only thing I screwed up was reattaching the oil pressure line which came loose and flooded my carpet with oil. I hadnt replaced it at that point and hadnt planned to. That cost another $600 but it actually looks better now so I cant complain (alot).
Once you get the dash off look for other things that might fail soon. Worn switches, old bulbs etc. Take pics of the dash coming apart so you can get it back where it belongs in the correct order. Especially the dash as the wiring harness crossing the steering column is important.
While mine was apart I also replaced the lenses on my gauges and repainted the interior of the housing which makes it alot brighter. Theres alot of stuff in there and its a good idea to do it all at once.
