Default seat backs

my seat backs on the 70 convertible have gotten scratched and I would like to paint them. What finish should they be, flat or gloss? Thanks for any replies, Rob

Hi Rob,
The seat backs were painted with a semi-flat paint in the same color as the seat upholstery.
They're hard plastic so paint well.
You really don't want to sand them at all if possible because that will begin remove the imprinted grain pattern.
But, as when using any interior paint or dye, clean the part scrupulously.
Regards,
Alan
