C3 Chrome bumper years
Im surely not trying to put down the later cars but i think the same way some of us like old school hp is why people like the chrome cars,
Conversion kits sell faster than don can make them, and look at the ton of hard work you are doing priya to have chrome bumpers, and why? well gee you think they look better, doorgunner, same thing,
Its been well over 30 years since i ran into anyone wanting plastic bumpers on a 68 to 72/3

I understand some people prefer a thumpety-thump motor that shakes the car and windows and announces its presence from 3 blocks away but I'm not that person.

Keep in mind ive owned many cars and lots if vettes 66 to 86
I dd an 81 in the 80s, that a swapped a camaro pace car for i did have to look at the tech to see if it was running,
The low hp didnt matter at the time but somehow even in all its refinements something was missing,
A few cars before that was a fire breathing 454 72 a guy had hopped up,
I just loved that car, yeah more than the 81,
I started being more true to what i wanted in the early 90s when i dd a modded 327 350 4 speed 66 no ac no heat no power anything hard top only,
Best part was friends only wanted to ride in it if the destination was somewhere we would be seen...go figure

You`re not alone, either. I grew up around small blocks, even saw some well built small blocks embarrass a couple big block owners. I was never really a big block fan.
Now, as I near retirement, my goal is a quiet, fuel concious sight-seer to just cruise around in. I don`t need the costs or headaches associated with a ground-pounder.
If I get that urge, I`ll dust off our Grand Prix, with a 455 and a bad attitude!
