Hi JU,
People report some success in using a polishing kit to remove scratches and imperfections from glass.
A scratch you can feel with your fingernail takes longer for instance than a 'smudge' from a wiper blade or window track.
There are various kits available. It generally takes a long time…. hours and hours…. to get good results.
Patience!
Regards,
Alan
I have used the product from Eastwood. It really did clean up most of the windshield scratches on an old Chevelle that I had. It looks as though they have a kit for deep scratches also. This stuff is bad for the lungs so use some type of inhalation protection. And yes it does take a while to achieve the results.
The smudge on my windshield is pretty light. However, on my passenger glass I have a deep scratch caused by a long sheet metal screw that some nimrod used to hold the outside mirror in place because he bypassed the well nut application. It boggles my mind how some individuals can be such Neanderthals.
