smaller footprint battery for box?
My recently acquired 75 coupe has a Walmart battery looks like Group 6 in it. Seems fine but I can't find enough room for a knife or **** battery cutoff so I am paranoidly disconnecting the negative when not in use. Goal is to drive once a week.
I measured the battery its about 9"x 6", are Optima's or others a little smaller?

Hi pmf,
The earlier, (70+), original batteries used were about 10" x 6-3/4" and were installed with the terminals facing the rear of the car.
I'm not sure if that what was used in your 75 or not.
I'm surprised you can't get the cut-off in place on your battery.
Regards,
Alan
Here's the '****' type on a 71. Left/rear corner.

Thanks Alan, do you know if that is cutoff **** in picture is on negative?
Thats how mine is oriented back left of battery towards center of car is negative. Seems like cable would not reach if connected in that manner with neg. cable going towards middle of battery.
Or maybe I am not trying hard enough....tight quarters in that box, not enough slack to attach to battery first then drop in box.
Attaching cutoff to positive seems doable but I know thats not recommended, would probably make a spark each time you connected.
