Window Crank
The problem might also be caused by the connection of the handle to the shaft.
The shaft on the winder is splined at it's end. The winder handle base is grooved to receive the splines. The spines may have been worn down or the grooves in the handle may have been worn.
You'll need to check the condition of each to see where the problem may be.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan
Left arrow points to the pin that fit's in the groove in the part in F's photos.
Right arrow points to the splines on the shaft that fit in the winder handle.
Awhile back I ordered two window cranks from Ecklers that would fit 67 thru 79 vettes. the spline was so far down in the handle they would not engage the with the splines on the crank mechanism . I believe they would fit if not for the rubber spacer that holds the crank handle away from the door panel. If you are not using a spacer they may fit your car, they have black *****. Ecklers part # 25-124145-1. If you think they will work I will be glad to send them to you. I bought another set from Paragon Reproductions at twice the price and they fit .
