New old guy..
Just bought a 17.700 mile Collector Edition.
What is the paint code and name for the dark bronze paint on the tailight bezels, and also dk bronze interior, dash cluster and steering wheel?
Also, apparently NLA, unobtainium= Hatch hinge trim plates under the basket handle....looked everywhere. Anybody know something?
Need two.

DUPONT paint codes are:
exterior D8259G
Interior D8259J add 305S med gloss
taillight D8262J taillight is a single stage flex add for front and rear caps 2322S
I believe I saved these codes from an old post here on CEs.
Welcome!
If you've owned Corvettes for 40 years you MUST be aware of the fact that we need to see photos!
Good Luck!
I hope your new 82 CE gives you lots of pleasure!!!
Regards,
Alan
I'll start cruising the CE forums.
The CE is the new car....The other one (40 years) is a 1969 L-46, M21, Side exhaust, FE7, {delete everything} Convertible...Two tops.
Damn nice to have A/C in a C-3! in AZ!
Cheers everybody...some day I'll tell you about the week I spent driving ZORA around Martha's Vinyard....what a Hoot! Engineer to Engineer.
Quote #1 Hal (me) " Hey Zora, why does my car feel like crap at 55mph but feels like a dream at 90."

I spend a lot of time on VWVORTEX...I have 4 Sciroccos too...It's a little easier there.
Photobucket Acct?
Written answer to a visual question. The CE has 17,700 mile on it.
It is the culmination of a nationwide 7 year search. I looked at 23 of them, before dropping the hammer.
Realizing there are a lot of NCRS guys here...I'll use the Hal Scale of goodness. 0-100
Interior about 95
Exterior about 90. The tailight bezels/ paint masking area are a little
threadbare and the bronze stripes are a little schmizzled in places.
The fade graphics are as new.
Gaskets are excellent.
Turbine wheels are exc.
Just a really nice example of the last shark.

Attachments and Images
How do I attach a file to a post?
To attach a file to your post, you need to be using the main 'New Post' or 'New Thread' page and not 'Quick Reply'. To use the main 'New Post' page, click the 'Post Reply' button in the relevant thread.
On this page, below the message box, you will find a button labelled 'Manage Attachments'. Clicking this button will open a new window for uploading attachments. You can upload an attachment either from your computer or from another URL by using the appropriate box on this page. Alternatively you can click the Attachment Icon to open this page.
To upload a file from your computer, click the 'Browse' button and locate the file. To upload a file from another URL, enter the full URL for the file in the second box on this page. Once you have completed one of the boxes, click 'Upload'.
Once the upload is completed the file name will appear below the input boxes in this window. You can then close the window to return to the new post screen.
What files types can I use? How large can attachments be?
In the attachment window you will find a list of the allowed file types and their maximum sizes. Files that are larger than these sizes will be rejected. There may also be an overall quota limit to the number of attachments you can post to the board.
How do I add an image to a post?
If you have uploaded an image as an attachment, you can click the arrow next to the 'Attachment Icon' and select it from the list. This will be inserted into your post and can be located where you want it displayed.
To include an image that is not uploaded as an attachment and is located on another website, you can do so by copying the full URL to the image, (not the page on which the image is located), and either pressing the 'Insert Image' icon or by typing after it, ensuring that you do not have any spaces before or after the URL of the image. You can insert pictures from your albums (?) in this way too.
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
Possibly some credit COULD go to my old Club..North Shore Corvettes of MA...for backing Dave into a corner...Danny Gale, myself and a few others and banging on him for the C-4 Coupe....without the video game instruments! We got the coupe....took them a while to see the error of their ways.
Me to DAVE at dinner "what the @#$% were you thinking...this is not a DATSUN 280ZX...forget those guys!"

Having said that...If I was to go racing again....The C-4 is what I'd choose.
You guys are all so dang civilized! LOL.
On the Scirocco forums, I'm UnkaHal the forum Curmudgeon!
I guess I'm more used to the 'finging poo' type of forum! yeehah!
I have 3 minty Mk1 Srocks incl. possibly the 'newest' one in the country, and a forlorn looking Mk2.
Oh and a Audi TT Quattro....the daily.
WELL!
That was worth waiting for!
Looks like a very nice car!
You must be pretty pleased?!?!
Good Luck with it!
Regards,
Alan
Next time the hood is open…. maybe another photo?
Oh! You assume that the hood opens! (took 4 hours!) I bought it without opening the hood!
The Car sat for a total of 23 years in a metal shed in Hou. TX.
So with the 12 hours it took to fix the hatch and the Four hours to get the hood open. (the late C-3's don't have the ability to use the CHEATER ROD like the 69....)
yes, the caution fan sticker is still in Hou!
Working the years offa it!
anyway great to be here.
super people...every one of them!
