vette
Hi cams69, looks like a lot of nice work. It takes awhile to get one of these vettes finished. I am right behind you on my 69. Keep up the nice work ! Seats came out great. I will look to do them myself also.

Beautiful job you are doing there! Appreciate the pictures. Great idea regarding the wiper "PUSH" button. What product or paint did you use on the button? It looks thicker than paint. I would like to do the same.
Thanks and Good Luck!

Pete, Thanks for the compliment. Sorry my pics are out of order. I polished the black plastic with scratch remover like polish. The white paint is testors model paint and it is thickend prolly from sitting! but it did help..

They were with the car and before I realized they weren't 69's I'd already spent a lot of effort cleaning them up. Someone told me they were more comfortable than the 69's. So I'll leave them in for now. Besides have you priced rails on those seats? Dang

Thanks. Note those are 70 seats I believe.

Great attention to details regardless of what may not be original.

All underbody fiberglass, riveting, all frame and components done , engine bay at 90%, lights , wiper door all components done. To do list includes ;
Bodywork, paint, interior, a/c and all new electrical. I'm guessing this will take me another two years and about 10k.

Ok , now I got it. Doesnt take much these days to get me confused. January made 3 years for me. Moving and getting my new shop together so I can finish sooner or later.

There is nothing more exciting has bonding with your son creating master piece making this Corvette back from the dead to it's full glory.
I bet you can't wait for your two to show off the Corvette at local car shows and who knows might be trip together in the car to Bowling Green for reunion.
You two do beautiful work together.

Thanks again. So many things I didn't take pictures while doing. Made a rivet gun out of a cheap harbor freight air chisel. Worked fantastic! I haven't had much help from my son. Those pics of him are from 3 years or more ago....

Hi C69,
I'm enjoying seeing your photos too.
It's interesting to see how you approached things.
Very nice looking work.
The center gauge bezel/gauges are especially nice.
It's really not about the shop…. it's about the people working in them!
I understand about "money money money…"
Regards,
Alan
Your door hardware photo looked a little familiar.

Thanks for the replies. This journey has taken almost 5 years it looks like. Made more difficult because I don't have the car under cover. Also in between restoring this one I restored a 1993 300zx tt. Quite an undertaking! I have more pics on different computers and will try to upload them as well. Until then enjoy this
