I love 'em all. Especially my 01 "tweener."

Everyone has their own preferences no doubt... My opinion of the best looking vette begins with the Big Block 67 and end with the 84 coupe. But I do like them all.

The chrome bumper C3 will always be a close second to the 67 for me. But I do REALLY like the C7 as well.

I hope to see these incredible cars on the roads soon as spring has nearly sprung. Thanks to the OP for the cool post. Love those blue vettes.

I've never seen a vert displayed like this before. Looks a little dangerous though. A slip looks like it could cause some damage.

It's a nice looking car.

Mike

Yeah, Mike (mini-1 post thread hijack)... I thought the same thing when I saw this pic posted in a Naples car show thread here last month. Cool way to display the tops if you can keep them secure. The prop post could be fitted to avoid a damaging slip, I suppose.

Sorry OP... Now back to our regularly scheduled in fighting over best corvette generation... I mean "appreciation in the evolution of American aesthetic automotive design"

If I owned the white or blue C3 sitting beside it I would be concerned that if the poles slip it could fly over and hit my car. Reminds me of car shows and cruises where someone puts up a canopy to sit under on a windy day. We saw one fly on a windy day and damage someone else's car sitting beside it at one of the cruises .

Although this thread is 2 months old, the C3 corvette is arguebly the best looking generation corvette. They definitely have curbside appeal from any angle. Last year there was a red c7 parked on the street in my neighborhood just a few feet from my driveway. My 79 was parked in my driveway backed in
A group of teens stood in front of and around posing and taking pics. I went outside and asked them why they did not take pics with the c7. They said my car looked better. I guess my 79 was also "posing" also as my left headlight door was up lol!!! The lines of the c3 are timeless and imo will be the best looking body style perhaps for all time. Also imo the c3 corvette is probably the most recognized. More of these have been produced than any othet generation of the corvette with 1979 prducing 53,807 alone. Long story short c3 vette over c7 hands down.

I've had my 68 for 24 years and when the C5s came out I decided I should have 1 of them some day. Then the C7s came and I think they look striking. A few years back a 50th aniversary with almost no miles came up for sale, but still to expensive and I don't want payments so I bought another C3 a 69. Took my GF to prom in a borrowed 62, I had the coolest car there. My boss had a C4 and let me drive it all the time, I like all corvettes. A personal opinion of mine is that the owners of the newer vettes look down on us C3 chaps is that theirs are depreciating and ours are going up in value. T

I have to agree with you on the C3 probably being the most recognized. When I got my 77, an older (I think he's 82) friend who has a C4 told me the grandmas and youngsters recognize the C3 as a vette, but his may get confused with a Toyota or such. No confusion on a C3. Everyone knows it's a vette.

As per Wikipedia. Actual mileage may vary.
It's impressive to me that they have kept the weight of the newer cars pretty consistent over the years. Nice pictures!
