Aux. cooling fan
the Aux. cooling fan on my 1979 c3 runs continuously when the ignition is on. manual sez that it should switch on @ 238 degrees and off @ 203. Have removed the black and the blue wires from the switch and the fan continues to run. Would like to put a toggle switch
on the hot pink wire @ the fuse panel... will this work?

Fan is wired wrong...somehow. That sensor should cut power to the fan if it is not in the circuit. You should find out what the source of power is with the sensor disconnected. You can't fix it properly until you know the answer to that question. Most likely, that sensor is defunct, as well.
