Headlight adjustment
Just got my project back after a little trip to get a new seatbelt anchor welded in, and now trying to get last bits done so I can ship it out to get painted..
Newly installed vacuum systems are functional, but the headlights seem to overextend and lock out.. when you turn them off, you need to put your hand in and unlock the mechanism, after which it closes to plan.. then opens again when you pull the switch.
I am assuming that the mechanism to stop this lockout it the adjustment screw on the leg that hangs down?
If so, have I misassembled it, as the screw on one side just touches the housing as it locks, and on the other side it doesnt even make contact!
Many thanks for thoughts?
I removed the other "advice" as I had it wrong , sorry

I believe you need to be careful using the 'stop' bolt to adjust how far the door opens.
I believe the clevis is to be used to adjust the open position.
I think the long arm and 'stop' bolt was intended to aid in preventing the headlights from vibrating while driving.
The AIM notes that the clevis must be set first and then the 'stop' can be set.

Alan
