Neutral safety switch

In a 68, would the NSS be affected (loosened, moved, etc) during transmission removal, rebuild and replacement?

It should not as long as it was intsalled in the same location

NSS switch is located on the clutch pedal inside the car, under the dash.
Transmission well you know, it is under the car.

Hi c1n,
Since your 68 car is equipped with an automatic transmission the neutral safety switch is at the transmission shifter linkage.
Perhaps disturbed or not reconnected during the work on the transmission?

No, all 68+ automatic transmission cars had the neutral safety switch near the shifter.
