Default Recommendation on steering column rebuilt service?

Hello,
While my car is in the body shop to be repainted and new front end put on. I removed the steering column and wanted to see about sending it off to be rebuilt and repainted back to original colors. It is a tilt/tel. I saw a couple of recommendation from a post in 2015 but was wondering if there are anyone others or at least some experience with the ones recommended. These are the two recommendation that are in the post from Flivver61

Dynamic Corvettes, Saginaw, Michigan
$550 + parts, includes repainting

http://corvettecolumns.com/69-76rebuilds.htm
Corvette Columns, Southlake, Texas
$365 to rebuild internals. Levers, paints, extra

I used the Corvette Column guy in Texas for my 77 tilt column, which is pretty complex. Real nice guy and very willing to talk about the rebuild. He shipped it back to me, I installed it, and its been working great.

Default rebuild

Not a whole lot to them. They really are not too difficult to rebuild at home. Do some reading on it you'll see. Search Jim Shea paper on rebuilding columns.

I rebuild and restore them quite often at my shop...but I can say that there are differences and not knowing exactly what year your Corvette it is kinda hard to say. Some columns are used for only one year model.

Some of the outer parts that are interior color can be a royal pain to replace and cause the entire column to be disassembled.

When I do them I have to ask my customer how prefect do they want it. Because what they may feel is a simple repair...is quite the opposite. I have had to repair torn mast jacket tubes and the pivot housing being broke...so...the cost of doing a column is unknown until I can get into it and see what it needs and how perfect...the owner wants it. Sometimes they can not get 'perfect' due to some parts are not being made and only used ones are offered.
