It amazes me that almost every time I stop at the local mini market, there will be a car out front with the keys in it, and often with the engine running. I always put my windows up and lock my doors, even if I'm just grabbing a cup of coffee. I live in a rural area with almost no crime, we don't even have a police department!
I understand the "if they really want it, they're going to get it" mentality, but at the same time, crooks want to grab something and get away quick. If they have a choice between a locked car, and one with the keys in it, they're going to take the one with the keys in it, every time.
I have to wonder if the "they're going to get it anyway" argument, is just an excuse for being lazy. Really, why make it easier for someone to steal something?
If they want my Corvette(s)....they are going to work at it. I'm not giving you a crime of opportunity...
Then If I catch you, you're going to die of lead poisoning, very quickly.
it's got to be what they want also.i hoped that someone would steal my '77 Pontiac LeMans with the 231 uneven fire v6 engine.engine running, cigarette burning in the ash tray but no takers.
