I placed a post a short while ago regarding my missing Corvette.I posted that it and three other GM vehicles had been disposed of in Arkansas without my permission.I now up date this to sold, and,I guess, stolen.I wrote to the Police in Little Rock,I got a copy of the new title that someone got by forging my name.It is a bit spooky seeing my name on a title that I never authorised. The Chevy PickUp was sold for $400,so I assume the others were sold too.The titles for the 'Vette and the other two are still in my name.I called the Police in?LR to report them all stolen, but that did the old switch "this is a civil matter"
Any hints on how I can list these vehicles on a national database as stolen? Is there a national register for stolen Corvettes?I have forgotton where the vin is on the Corvette,it is so long since I have seen mine.I believe they are on the dashpad drivers side.I have read that door tags are available and can be changed.Has some-one done a "numbers job" on mine and changed the door tag,but the VIN is impossible to change, right?Any advice or support gratefully accepted.

Reason: spelling mistakes
I have been trying to find a lawyer in Arkansas who handles both Civil and Automobile cases. Most do not seem to specialize in this area, and do not want the case.
If the vehicles were stolen, and your name was forged to obtain a new title, this is both theft and fraud, which doesn't sound like a civil matter to me.
As suggested, try the state police. Most state police agencies have a stolen vehicle department. I'd keep looking for an attorney too, possibly one involved in property law. You may also want to reach out to the state Attorney General's office, or a local TV or newspaper's consumer affairs department for help.
Sounds simple. If you have s copy of the title work with your forged signature....then you should see who the new registered owner is. Easy to recover.
Based on the OP post...stating the police said it's a "civil matter".....make me think this may be a divorce, co-owner, judgment, family issue or something.
ive never heard of a straight up theft being blown off as a "civil issue".
