I will see an occasional classic vette and get a wave but usually the newer corvettes are not even noticing the older ones and usually don't even respond . More the preppy types.
I came out of the grocery store a couple days ago and saw this C7 parked by me. I thought it was cool to see two red Vettes with black wheels 4 generations apart.
From: PHOENIX, AZ Yes, it's true. You are a good woman. Then again, you may be the Antichrist.

I was out for a 4 hours and saw a c1. After that ride I was tinkering with my crb and had to get gas and saw a newer vette, c7 maybe, but I came across a 68 SS camaro a light a head of me, I caught up to him and we had a rolling drag for 100 ft or so for grins. That was cool.
Happens to me all the time. When I take my vette out I may see one or two, usually c7's or c5's, but when I am in my patrol car, I see them everywhere! Sadly not very many C1, C2, or C3's around here, not any that are on the road anyway.
I usually see C4's when I'm out. Always get a waive and thumbs up which is returned. For some reason, very few 5's, 6's, or 7's seem to notice their Grandpa. Disrespectful whipper snappers!!!
Around here it's very rare to see anything other than a C6 or C7 on the road unless there's a classic car show in the area. C5 6 and 7 owners generally do not wave unless they are long time Corvette owners that have had several generations of Corvettes over the years.

To be honest, I never really give the newer 'Vettes much more than a passing glance either. Or any late model cars, for that matter. Anyone with a line of credit can have one. It takes a special person to keep an old car on the road.
