Default wire identity

1968 convertible on the fire wall passenger side 2 connections one orange and 2 black wires joined together to fit on a blade connection. any idea:\?

Hi H,
The 68 AIM wiring diagram indicates the heater blower motor uses a single orange and a double black as it's power supply.
Have you checked there?

Black with 2 wires is the ground that comes from the starter to the blower motor and then on to the wiper motor to complete the ground circuit for both of those electric motors.

If you do not have a radio, the orange will connect directly to the other spade terminal on the blower motor giving it 12v power. If you have a radio, it should connect to the anti static capicitor which connects to the blower motor.

both photos above are correct. Im just explaining what they do
