The color looks a lot like what my wife's car had, Viper Red. It looked red sometimes and orange other times. She didn't like it much, so I painted Eye Kandy Apple Red. I also had a lot of cracks to fix. The big block hood was in such bad shape that I tore that off and put on L-88 hood from Ecklers, which gave enough room to put on an insulated spacer between throttle body and manifold. Amazon had the paint kit from TheCoatingStore for $600 in urethane. Gallon of silver base, gallon of candy, gallon of clear. It took 8 coats of silver to cover the primer, 6 coats of candy, and 6 of clear. Took me a couple of months is all. On my 66 I'm painting it Laser Red Pearl Tri Stage with ghost stripes after doing the engine build. Nice car you have there. It's such a pleasure to see them on the road.
