So I just got my car back yesterday (random work done) and wherever the guy had it parked allowed berries or something to fall all over the car and stain! I got the stains off of the fiberglass body, but I can not get the stains out of the urethane bumper covers. I have scrubbed and scrubbed and scrubbed but it will not come out. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.
If you took it to a reputable shop, and not Bubba, I would bring the car back to him and show him the damage and say: "I want the paint to be back in the condition it was in when you took the car in."
If it was Bubba, well you might try to get some paint cleaner (Adams or Auto Geek have this product) and try to buff it out.
A mild rubbing compound should take that stain off.
P.S. NEVER re-take possession of your car from a repair shop without looking over the car for ANY damage done to it. (I also record the odometer mileage and make sure the car hasn't been taken for a 'joy ride' by some buffoon.)
Thanks for all the help guys, I will try this sometime tonight or tomorrow. I hope it works. The guy did a good job mechanically but just didnt think about the staining i guess. I would have picked up up myself but I am working late shifts this week and we are heading to OCMD tomorrow, so the timing just wasnt there.
