bodykits
you won't believe this but the car was sitting at that showroom's backyard for over 8 months and just when i decided to buy it,it sold out.
now i wasn't sure if the car was customized or just had aftermarket kit on it but with the help of bats and the other guys here, its clear that the car is custom made so now we just want to find out what kind of mods are made on the car.what do you think?
If you do go and see it get them to put it up on a hoist and take pics of the frame in the (prone to ) rust areas to.
www.boehi.com
You can click on each Picture chapter under - Special Project, Corvette Mako Shark II - and it will Show you many many functinal Details like the original has!!

i called the restoration company about the car but they said they don't have this car in their inventory and if they do its not available for "viewing" at the moment.
so i just have to wait for them to do their magic and put it on sale for 100k $.
Thats why i decided to look for alternatives.
at first i was afraid of the idea of working on the stock body(which i still am)and i started looking for mako sharks because these are as close as you can get to that car but seems like its the same story with makos

the problem is that in middle east, the locals are interested in real estate and other big salary businesses so the garages and workshops have to bring in workers and laborers from india and other poor countries because they're highly talented, skilled and they cost cheap.
So language barrier is a problem.most of these professionals can't speak proper english and can't understand you either BUT the main issue is that because of the tight competition even when they have no idea what you have in mind, they will tell you its ok and they can handle it and we all no what happens afterwards.
I'm trying to find out what happened on this car as much as possible so i can present a clear concept of what i want to be done on the car when i take it to the bodyshop
i know its not really possible with so little evidence and pictures but I'll really appreciate it if you guys try.
For example the fender flares on nost of the cars I've seen are really obvious but on this car its done very nicely and you can't really see an angle between the stock fender and the flares they don't feel attached to the car, they juat flow with the original bodylines so i assume the flares are not aftermarket they're custom made for the car.
nothing like an early C3 in onyx black it just looks right.

You might want to be sitting down when the number comes across the phone line .

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
thanks for the reply.
The guy you mentioned,is he located in america?
i don't want to do a full kit just fender flares and extending the front a little bit.the other guys said you are more familiar with costums than some others so based on the pictures, can an experienced bodyshop like your guy give me the exact results just based on just these pictures?
oh and one more thing.
if i want your friend to do this customizations for me,am i supposed to send him the body panels or he just builds it from scratch?
GT-Rs and drive them straight into one of the thousand ELITE shops to customize the cars to their liking.
with that being said, classic cars in normal or maybe bad condition IF not restored or heavily modified, are priced based on the year model but NOT like any other country where cars over the age of 30,start to increase in value and price with every year they get older.in other words for example,a 72 corvette will be cheaper than lets say a 73 or 75 in the same condition here.so as you can imagine, unfortunately(or fortunately for buyers like me
) there aren't too many people or dealers here who can recognize a classic.I knew this newly married guy who lived in my neighborhood,he had a 1959 chevrolet impala,I used to see it everyday on my way home.the car belonged to his father who passed away few years ago,it was a cherry red convertible with red interior,a terrible mess to be honest but you could easily imagine how it used to look in its full glory.he bought a new SUV for the family and didn't have enough space in his driveway for 3 cars so he decided to sell it.
I know its hard to believe but it took him about 5 months until he managed to sell it for 8k USD

Not considering the price, the fact that it took him that long to sell a gem like that is a good example of classic car popularity here.
