Default What insurance do you have?

I've had the 74 Vette on my USAA insurance plan since we transferred the title to me (about 4 years ago). It was only in storage mode so was pretty cheap.

Since I have it down here I changed it to full coverage.

Should I keep it with USAA or look at something like Hagarty's?

Thanks!

Hi C,
You might want to also check-out J.C.Taylor as a possibility.

Are you satisfied with USAA? If so, keep them.

I've had them for 25 years on all my other various cars. This is my first one that would be a classic car, so wasn't sure if a specific company geared towards classic cars would be better or not.

Thanks!

I have my 73 and 67 Vettes both on standard USAA full coverage. They're cheap add on's to a policy which has four other vehicles and three drivers on it.

Oh I love them as a whole. The thing I'm looking at is here in AZ it states that is you have 'classic' insurance and drive less than 2500 miles, and it's older then you are emissions exempt. (At least I'm working to confirm that).

I've been with Hagerty for years. Luckily I haven't had to make a claim.

USAA is not what it used to be. Had them for 28 years and dropped them. They were no longer competitive. Both my Vettes are now insured through the Corvette Museum. I pay half for both cars what USAA wanted for 1. With what I do with my cars, USAA was not economically viable.

I have Hagertys on my 77 C3 and my 79 C10. Both vehicles have the copper historic plates and are exempt from emissions testing. My 68 L36 will too as soon as it's ready for the road.

I've had an 'agreed value' policy on my '69 convertible since 1979 with American Collectors Insurance. They increase its value automatically every year with no premium increase.

https://americancollectors.com/plans...licy-features/

Just make sure the insurance company you choose deals with cars that are appreciating like the C3's, not cars that are depreciating like the majority of vehicles.

Hagerty, agreed to replacement value. They've bumped it twice at my request as I've gradually improved the car. Had USAA a long time ago and they were simply way to expensive and I don't think they'll pay a replacement value on the car.
