Default Clutch return spring

Does anyone have a picture of where this attaches to the firewall on a 69 or give me some kind of idea because I'm stumped.

Hi ss,
There's a very small diameter hole in the lip of the steering column firewall plate for the spring.

Actually it's laminate.
The restoration days for the car and for me are past us.
