69 Trans to frame mount bolt size and direction?
I am putting my 69 project back together and I can't find this assembly in the AIM. There are two bolts that go to the top and one on each side. I have two size bolts I think it is the smaller of the two but am not sure
Any ideas?
Thanks

Direction? I don't know what GM decided......they don't/didn't think the way mechanics think..........
but I would make sure the nuts are where I could see them in case they ever became loose.

Hi Glenn,
The front and rear exhaust pipes join and are secured in place at that point.
The bracket is called a 'clamp' (?) in the AIM.
It's shown in the 71 AIM in Section 8, Fuel and Exhaust. In the 71 AIM it's UPC8, Sheet A2, Item #10, Clamp, 3853723. Probably in the same location in your 69 AIM.
All cars had the 'clamp' except for the relatively few cars with N14. Are you fortunate to have a side exhaust car?
Regards,
Alan
