I like both sets. It's all about the stance and you've got it sir. Probably lower than most people here like, but it looks great.

Btw, just a thought for you. My c3 is on the lower side too. I have a 350# shortened fiberglass spring in the rear which would get bouncy at times on the interstate. I had some kyb replacement shocks on it for a while. I recently switched over to the qa1 single adjustable to better dial in what I was looking for. It was worth the extra money to be able to fial it in a little closer

I will be lowering mine as well; it's a sports car, not a Jeep!

15s. The 20s completely ruins the look of a classic car, IMHO.

Ahhh a very polarizing question as already evidenced.
With the stance, color of the car, and the style of the wheels I'll take the 20s.
I think they make the car stand out. They also make a statement obviously not endearing to all.

I concur, it is all about the stance and your Vette rocks both sets of wheels! I'm curious though about the 20" tire failure, what brand of tire were you running

I love the wheels and stance of yours. I've been thinking of Z06 or something similar in 18/19" for mine. seeing yours makes me consider it.

I had toyo proxes in front but was experimenting with the right size on the rear so they were just an offshore pair I had around. Looked and balanced ok but went south quickly.

I love your car but you did ask,

I am just not a fan of large diameter wheels with rubber band tires on the old classics,
I even see very few with 18s i like,
Seems the larger wheels draw the balance of attention away for the full package,

i admit im stuck in some old school mind set thing, i dont even much like over built resto mods with late model engines, suspensions etc,

I can appreciate the work it took and have to catch my breath at the money involved but not my cup o tea, just like c7s do nothing for me,

I like both, but I'm thinking of going 18s lately. Can you share the details on your 20" front tires and rims? What backspace and or offset? What size are your 20" tires?

Here's a pic for you Bats. I pulled my Centerlines out of storage and set them against the car. I had these on my first 75 Vette, what, 30 years ago? I'll mount some tires up and throw them on and take some pics.

Sure. These wheels were kind of a test for me. They are 20-8.5" front and 20-10" rear and off a newer Mustang with the offset to match. I used them for my car with 2" billet adaptors. The front tires were 235-30's which really did not have enough sidewall for me. The rears were 255-35's and could have been bigger. I had no clearance issues at all.
Right now I am thinking about a different wheel and tire package (maybe Z06 or comparable or another set of 20's) as I was never a fan of the fake rivets on the Foose Nitrous rims.
The 20's were back on my short wide Dodge with fresh rubber for an hour and a half before a deer planted itself into the front of my truck.

Lol

Be it centerlines, ( fake in my case ) cragar ss, tork ds, or a turbine design, The old school wheels pop for me on these cars,

I found 2 15 x 10 ansen slots just need two more for my 69,

I like traditional, therefore 15's.

I'm okay with 20's and bigger on 2 ton trucks.

For me, I am open to different diameters as long as they fit the wheel wells and the stance is nailed. I was a teenager in the late 70's so I am influenced by the drag cars and pro streeters of the era. Nose down and tired up. As well, IMSA Corvettes and Monzas left major impressions with me. As a result, my cars have always been a little lower than most with as much tire as I could fit. Well, maybe the back tires didn't quite fit back in the day. Air shocks anyone?

Here ya go Bats. Sitting on 15x3 1/2 and 15x8 1/2 Centerlines. Man, I wondered why I've kept these for 30+ years. Actually looks tough with the drag look and I like it better than the rallies. But I'm definitely going back to a 20"combo. Sorry to the purists but when I see it with the stock rallies it does nothing for me.

Good for you.

Thanks, Tokim. When I post pictures I do it so that folks can get an idea what the mods I have done (stance, wheels and tail conversion) may look on their C3s as well as answer questions on how they may affect performance, whether it be good or bad.
I also want folks to see what you can do to a roached out Corvette and without crazy expense drive something they can be proud of. Yup, my Vette is scruffy and definitely not everyone's cup of tea, but I'll enjoy it for what it is and keep on playing with it.

I think your car look excellent with the 20's. Modern appearance with classic body lines. Well done.

I might be biased since my car has 17/18 wheels. I think larger wheels just enhances the look of a C3.
