Purchasing questions
Hi guys. Anyone have any experience with buying from Craigslist? There are many '75-'81 vettes for sale within about 50 miles of me listed on Craigslist. My budget is $7500 or less. I'm not looking for show car...just something that can be semi daily driven while repairing things along the way. Most of the ones I have gone to look at have disappointed. Should I keep looking or do I have unrealistic expectations? Thanks.

Opinion of this rookie: It sounds reasonable to me. I wanted to buy one immediately, but it took months before I bought a car. The main thing I learned is know exactly what you want......make a checklist.....and don't vary much when you make your decision.

Yes, you should keep looking.
You might be a little low ($1000 or $2000) in what you think you'll need to spend.
"Most of the ones I have gone to look at have disappointed."
Sellers are so often overly optimistic about what the car they're selling ACTUALLY is, and buyers are so often overly optimistic about the car the money they have to spend WILL ACTUALLY BUY.
