Default How often do you drive your C3?

Just curious, how often do you drive your C3?

Maybe include a quick overview of your car and anything pertaining to the ease (or lack there of) of driving it.

Mine for example: I have a 1979 4-speed. It has no A/C, and a fairly hot 350 with sidepipes and a snorty cam, so I don't drive it in to work too often for the sake of the neighbors. Plus I still need to replace the weatherstripping because it leaks in the rain. So normally it gets driven about every-other weekend. But I hope to start driving it a lot more now that I got all (or at least most) of the leaks fixed and it has been much more reliable!

That's legit.

I was thinking of instituting a self-challenge next week: drive my C3 7 days in a row. Rain or shine, cold or warm. Work or grocery store.

A lot of guys bark c3s dont make good dds, thats hogwash,

Of course they have to be up to par not worn out, neglected junk, whose fault it that, not the cars,

I loved my modded 66, hard top only, no ac no heat no power anything, daily driver and i was driving a lot, loved it

I had a real pos 81, also dd,

Its all about what a person wants,
If its a sat morn and tina wants to hit garage sales i hit the xterra, it holds more junk, lol

I like to get my 77 out for a spin 2 or 3 times a week.

Funny thing is I get just as much enjoyment out of tinkering
with it in the garage and cleaning it as I do driving it.

Had more collectible vettes through the years, but I found this incorrect rubber bumper bargain to be more enjoyable.

70 LS5.
This year driven 4 or 5 times between April and now.
Sat all summer waiting for me to get around to getting it aligned.
Typically it's driven about a dozen times, April thru end of October.
Once every other weekend on average for an hour or two.

Was my semi daily driver when weather permitted, during the 80's.

I drive my 76 on sunny days when I know it's not going to rain. It has AC in it, but it doesn't work, so I prefer to drive it when I can keep the tops off. I put about 1500 miles on it this summer, which is actually a lot since I only drive 15 miles each way to work and back.

My ‘81 I don’t see as a collector car. It’s a restomod that was built to be driven daily if needed. I have redone everything except the interior at this point. It has great street manners so I drive it three to four times a week.

When it’s not broken.

'70 454 LS5 BB no A/C - Doesn't get driven much in the summer.

My driving season starts in October and lasts through May or so. Our winter temps around here are typically in the high 50's or 60's with an occasional 80 degree day, so there's plenty of opportunity to enjoy it while the cars up north sit in storage.

Hello, just visiting from the C4 forum. A few of us drive year round, unless the snow is deeper than the bumper height.

I have a 78 Pace Car with a modified engine, transmission and exhaust system that puts out between 300 and 350 horsepower. It's a blast to drive which I do on a daily basis here in Florida. It never sits more than a day or two in the garage without being driven. I've owned it for two years and have put 10,000 miles on it in that time. I love the car and would not trade it for a C-7. I'm old school and so is my car. NO computers! LOL.

I try to drive my 72 LT-1 at least once a week as I have found it just seems to run better if I do that. Living in Southeast Texas makes that relatively easy.

No rain driving for me unless it rains on a track day.

We have 2 track days per month from April - Sept. So days between track days is fixing / testing for the next track day.

At least once a week during good weather seasons. I prefer sunday morning cruising, or sometimes sunset. 73 Coupe, 383, TKO, pop out glass!

About 3000 miles most Summers/Falls. I had a 2017 Mustang (yellow/black hood stripes) convertible for my company lease car this year so we put the Mike's on that for a change. But, the only problem with putting about 3-4K miles on a C3 each season is the excessive face muscle pain related to having so many Miles. My physician said that the only thing he would prescribe was for me to decrease my mileage by at least 1000 miles each year, cutting down on the smile-induced face muscle strain.

I'm only partially kidding. The face actually does hurt sometimes from grinning so much. A good C3-itis "problem" to have.

We are heading into our summer months and we will try to drive our C3 when ever possible. At the moment it has been very wet, so the car sits in the garage

I drive the Vette a couple times a month. Less than a 1000 miles a year. I used to drive it a lot but not so much any more, not really sure why. I've contemplated selling it because it sits so much.

1970 L-46, 4-Speed, AC, PB, PS, fully restored, everything works like it should :-)

before I started the 5spd convertible conversion I used to drive mine all the time, it was only parked if you couldn't see pavement under the snow or we were going out with family and had the grandkids.

I need to finish the conversion..going to Amelia Island in March, hope to have it there with me...
