Value?
Second post from a FNG. I just bought a nice "ten footer" 69 l46 four speed coupe. No doubt it needs work but is very solid and has the original engine on a stand. The previous owner said it was smoking and had another '69 l46 mildly built up and installed it. Lemans blue with bright blue interior. Side pipes are there but not original to car. Mileage shows 84,000. Ok down to the question. What is the car worth? Im not selling as I'm beyond thrilled with the car. I just want to know if I paid too much, got a fair deal or got a great deal.

In all likely hood, you paid too much, you'll be spending even more and when you go to sell you'll be lucky to get back half of what you've spent.
Stop looking at prices, don't add up what you'll be spending and enjoy your new car.
Corvette math,
A $5K Corvette will cost you an additional $20K to make it worth $15K.
A $10K Corvette will cost you an additional $10K to make it worth $15K.

Revi is right, dont worry about the numbers. Unless you're an investor trying to make money, ignore those numbers and put more value on what you said below !
The happiness you get from the car is worth way more !
Enjoy your car, it's a beauty !

Hi A,
At this point it really makes no difference what anyone's opinion is about what it's worth, or what you should have paid for it.
YOU established the CURRENT MARKET for THIS car when you bought it.
It looks like a nice car and if it isn't rusty it will hopefully give you lot's of pleasure.
Did the spare-tire tub and spare come with it?
Regards,
Alan
Revi's math is just about right!!!

I paid 17k for a original LS5 and auto. That was a 10 footer. Unfortunately it had a 327 in it. So I took that out and put a 502 and an M22 into. Plus a new interior, new brakes, basically new everything. I now have an additional 20k into. But I am having fun.

Welcome, and nice looking 69. At this point in time it's worth what you paid for it, but as others have said, the value is in the fun of fixing it, improving it, and most of all driving it! My recommendation is never have it down for long periods of time. Keep it running and address and finish each area of focus before moving to the next....

Hi Akroland,
That's a very nice '69, however the paint is much too dark for LeMans Blue. LeMans Blue is
much lighter, my '69 vert is LeMans Blue with Bright Blu interior.
Have fun it's a very nice looking Vet.

Enjoy your Corvette and don't worry about it until you are ready to sell.

Super Nice Corvette!!!
(My avator is LeMans Blue for 68, LeMans Blue for 69 is a tad different and different paint code too.)
