If you do sell and are looking for a chrome bumper project I know of a 71 BB 4 speed that is a project in need of a home. It is located close to me. It is running.
If I had a 71 BB 4 speed, I'll sell mine in a heartbeat!!!
The problem is that by the time I sell mine, that 71 will be gone. I also bet he'll want more than 5 grand.
But if I could sell mine fast I'd be interested.
Can you tell me more about it? What's the story with it?
I really do believe that no rust problems. running and driving good mixed with a 4 speed and ac delete is coolness that it would fetch 5k if you let it sit there,
You will get the pita looky lou dreamer low ballers, my nerves do not deal with that well,
If you drop the time and money ( some call their time free, my time is valuable) into the interior i dont really see that upping the 5k amount but might only lessen the wait time for a buyer,
Then it still needs paint, dip, wrap whatever, and then it needs...
My point, if you dont like the car stop messing with it, waste of time and money, lots easier to find a 5k buyer than a 6k buyer or a 8k buyer...or?
Best of luck to you. I'm pretty confident someone will give you $5K for it. I had to rip the moldy carpet out of my project, and I still haven't finished deleting the AC, so whoever gets this will be way ahead of me!
Was it primer, or plastidip? The paint looks a lot better than I was expecting, and the interior looks perfectly acceptable for some end of season fun.
Perhaps post a WTB on this forum can score you a set of used but good enough carpet for the cost of shipping and a 6-pack. Is that Oyster? I'll have a front carpet to get rid of this winter (early '79, so it should be '78 Oyster).
(Edit: The moldy black carpet in my '80 project is long gone, two different cars)

I started typing my suggestion, then realized I had exactly what you need. I'm happy to help.
If, somehow, your car has not sold by then, please ping me at Christmas. If I can get the front carpet out in only two pieces, I will gladly send it along to you, for a 6-pack plus shipping. It's doing its job in my wife's car right now, so this is a winter project for her after the snow flies.

Espresso Stout is favorite.
I really hope it sells by Christmas, but if not I'll send you a note.
