What Muncie transmission is this from pic. Plus is it possible for those numbers on transmission to be opposite from each other. Engine ID pad is shown also.
1970 Lt1 I thought this might be m22 from additional pic showing engine codre

The B indicates the M21.

Upsidedown, but not opposite. Looks like the VIN derivatives match.

Hi ta,
Interesting diference in the font of the two 1s!

Here's what I believe maybe a typical 'gang holder' that was used in St.Louis to stamp both the engine pad and the transmission flange.
Both were typically stamped by hand at the same time and with the same stamper.

You can see it would be quite easy to get the transmission vin derivative stamp up-side down.
Regards,
Alan

Does this car have power steering on it?

You can see the container for the individual digits, the hammer, and even the 'glove'.

Hi Td,
"Yeah its a Time machine? Built date Corvette-Vin ending 402261 Jan 1970 Tranny Dec 1970"

P0T08B
Doesn't the first '0' indicate the 'model year' this transmission was assembled for?
So:
0… 1970 model year.
T… December
08… 8th day

Which works for an early January 1970 built car?

Regards,
Alan
