Default vacuum diagram

Would any of you guys have and be willing to throw up on this thread the vacuum diagram for 70 c3? Wipers aren't working. Headlights are, however vacuum reservoir on the drivers side fender isn't hooked up. Weird right?! So I was wondering if anyone had one so I could follow it and hook it back up.

I wish my 70 looked as nice as that diagram at the firewall. One of the components that may be an issue for you is that relay that's mounted on the passenger side fender. 1970 relays are mounted on the firewall by the brake booster. Also no metal tubes routing around the wiper motor Just A Rat's Nest of hoses in 70.. I suspect the hose functions are correct in that diagram the components are just not where they should be for 70

Hi Dennis,
While I see 70 cars with the relay mounted near the master cylinder and no 'tubes', I don't know if I've seen a drawing of that configuration?
Have you?
Regards,
Alan

I just looked…the drawing in the 70 AIM is the one Willcox pictures.

Yes and they're both wrong. There also aren't any locking metal Clips on the driver side fender retaining those hoses in 70. Another sloppy look I would have thought they would have corrected these things with the change in the 70 model from 69 but it took until 71 to make the changes. The best diagrams were always the doc's I have to check to see if he's got it right

Other than the pump configuration I wonder if 69 shows a more correct routing for 70

I wonder if the PO bypassed the vacuum reservoir and connected the headlight actuators (via the relays) directly to the manifold vacuum.

Maybe the reservoir was leaking and was simply bypassed. I would be curious to know if the vacuum hose to the wiper door actuator was even retained.

I am actually going to be digging into it on Saturday. Thanks for the diagram, I will keep everyone posted. I'm thinking the PO bypassed it and went directly into the manifold as well... I am sure I will find a vacuum line disconnected somewhere which would explain the wiper door not operating. Thanks again for all the help, and information!
