Default Brake console

I have a question about the inside of the console, i took mine apart to get rid of some wiring the po used for the rear speakers. When I took the screws out all the brackets fell out that hold the switches for the power windows. I cant tell if they tried to put some studs that stick down to mount the brackets, or if they came with them and some how they got pulled out from the plastic. I have not seen the inside of the console before, if some one has a picture they could post I sure would appreciate. I hate to get a new one because mine is in great shape except for the problem inside.

Hi 376,
I don't know if these photos will help or not.
Regards,
Alan

You can see the threaded studs are molded in place when the console is made.

The parking brake console had studs made into the bottom of it that held the switch and slide retainer in place.

Thanks Alan and Willcox for the pictures . That is just what I thought it would look like. I have one question the rear bracket does not fit flush when I checked it inside the console at the front, does it get shimmed in the front two studs. Alan that one picture of yours it looks like there is a spacer on the studs. Again thanks for the help to the both of you.

Hi 37c,
The studs are mounted on raised 'pads' that are part of the console mold.
Regards,
Alan

Thanks Alan, When I took the back bracket and put it in the console i saw that the front did not touch the console. I had the back of the bracket touching the back of the console and the front was up some There was now way that bracket could have been bent as strong as that metal is. I see when it touches the pads at the back it will fit just fine.
