I have a 1971 Corvette convertible with a 350ci and 270hp and I live in Las Vegas. I was hoping to find a fellow Vette owner who would not mind taking a newbee under his/her wing and help guide me through regular maintenance on the car: tune ups, brakes, replacing parts etc. Like the old saying goes take a guy fishing and he feeds himself for a day, teach him how to fish and he will feed himself for life. Thanks for your time.

Welcome to thr forum......buy a couple books off the internet o you;ll have a good idea of what a new Vette friend is talking about......example:

Also....the A.I.M. assembly manual for your specific year is very helpful.

I really wouldn't spend money on Haynes or Chilton/they don't provide enough detail.

Hi Steve,
Welcome!

I think if you'll post some information about your car and post a few photos of it you'll be surprised at the warm welcome you'll receive.

When you have questions the same thing is true… post them, and people who can help will try to answer them and give you some guidance!

Again, I'm glad you're here and I'd be interested in seeing your car!
Regards,
Alan

Hi Steve
I live in Henderson! You should come down to the "Car Show on Eastern" on a Saturday morning. There's usually quite a few C3 owners to talk to. I can't make it this Saturday but I'll be there on 12/9. Look for the blue 72' coupe!
I'm not a mechanic so I use Jim Gregorio at Tucker Performance for any work I need done. Jim's an honest guy and his prices are fair!
Also there's a new NCRS chapter in LV. They meet the second Tuesday of the month at 6:00PM at Millers Ale House in Town Center.
(no meeting in Dec) I joined the national on line and I'll be going to my first local meeting in January. Everyone tells me the best way to learn about your car is by having it judged!
