Some forum members heat the arm surrounding the bushing and either press them out or use a seal driver to knock them out with a hammer. This method can get stinky as the old rubber in the bushing heats up.

Another member uses a hole saw with a diameter 1/16" SMALLER than the hole in the control arm, then drills/cuts the bushing out with the hole saw. I used the hole saw method......

Hi Marty,
"Looking for any tips "

It's important to properly support the a-arm itself as you press/hammer the new bushings in place.
It's possible to distort the area of the arm that the bushings mount in if the hammer or press becomes to 'large' and the steel is un-supported.
Regards,
Alan

I used a drill bit to drill out the rubber, then collapsed the shell to get it out. Have to be careful what size bit to use.

I hold the arms by the center shaft in a smooth vise. Use a hole saw as mentioned to cut out the rubber and an air chisel to drive out he steel sleeve. It most likely will be seized on the shaft so some blaster or Kroil will help. Clean up the arm holes and I tap in the new bushings, if I use a press I have some emt I slotted to support the arms so they are not compressed in the press.
