Hello,
Can anyone that has installed Dewitt radiator please provide feedback on how well it fit? Does dewitt fit good always requiring no modifications?
Thank you,
Greg
Hi,
Which radiator are you looking at?
I have the reproduction aluminum sb 4-speed non a/c radiator and it fits first try.
It's about as nice a reproduction as ANY reproduction part available.
(Probably the only part I can think of that's in the same league are the exhaust tips that Richard Fortier produces.)
Regards,
Alan
It would a 4 speed non ac. What the difference between 4 speed and auto? Is it just the cooling inputs on the autos and the dimensions are exact same? Thanks

I installed a Dewitts radiator in my '81. Not fit issues at all. I later went back and put the dual Spal fan kit on. I had to slide the fans a little over from center to equalize the contral arm spacing.
Perfect direct fit on my '71 BB 4 speed. Removed old one with hood off and with radiator support and shroud as one unit. Reassembled with new DeWitts radiator and installed radiator support and shroud as one unit.
This advice was posted by other members, it worked out great and I was able to do it without help.
I have installed the Dewitts Direct radiator in my 67 BB conv. and also in my 69 BB air car and they both fit perfectly look and work good will be buying another for my 67 BB coupe before long, I highly recommend them.
I bought my 79 L82 M21 with a leaking radiator--among many other issues--so I decided on a DeWitts aluminum radiator. I had them apply their "black ice" coating because I wanted the new radiator to be black--like the original. Five years later that radiator still looks, fits, and cools great. No installation issues, per the shop I had install it for me. The car still has its original engine fan and auxiliary electric fan.
