Where comfort grip steering wheels dated?

I have a black comfort grip steering wheel. I noticed that there is a "C" stamped in a little divot on the back of them wheel. I have another one and I believe it might have a different character. Just curious if this is significant?

Perhaps the letter identifies the mold the wheel was poured in?

Yep, that is it. I have two steering wheels and both I believe have different letters stamped in that little divot. "A" might be the first mold?

Cool. I don't recall anyone ever talking about these letters.
