I have the number for it it's 17053289. I have looked at the decoder charts myself but I can't figure out what I have since the 5 in the middle refers to being made between 1976 and 1982 yet the 3 after means it's an 1983. Also near the end there is an 8 which refers to the division yet none seem to include an 8. I'm probably just missing something, can anyone help?
That part number is the casting number of that part...not the carb. The carb assembly part number is stamped into the left rear corner post of the carb body (sideways).

Ahhh thankyou. I knew I was missing something. I just was confused since the first 3 numbers matched and the other numbers weren't where you just said. They were, just had the scrub down whatever was on it and there they were! Thanks for the help.
just have it rebuilt by Lars. nothing wrong with it rebuilt, is it the original carb to the engine?? or are you building the motor up with more HP? The carb is rated usually at 750 cfm.

Early Q-Jets had a round tin plate, with the part number stamped on it, cast into the left side of the carb. Starting in 68, the part number was stamped vertically on the carb body.

Q-Jets are 750 cfm, with some models rated at 800. The carb shown in the OP's photo appears to be a 1975 model year. But the actual year and application of the carb would be revealed by the "real" carb number as shown by Glenn in his post above.
