1974 power windows
Good morning everyone, as always thanks to everyone for all of your help and insight.
My son and I are restoring a 74 for him and getting it ready for the paint shop. We have disassembled the car and stripped the paint. I made the mistake of reomoving the doors without removing the door glass first. The painter has requested the glass be out of the doors or otherwise I would leave them in. Anyway in an effort to get the window glasses back up, I placed the doors beside the car, plugged the power window plugs back into the regulators, plugged the pw switches back in, turned the car on and I get nothing. Does anyone have any thoughts on what I’m missing?
Do the doors need to be bolted back up so they are grounded?
Is there a fuse or relay that I may have blown?
I haven’t unplugged much in removing the interior, does everything electrically need to be plugged in to complete the circuit or something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since the doors are fiberglas probably do not need ground but easy to put a jumper wire from ground to door hinge. Attached is a wiring diagram for your car from Willcox. You should check the fuses. Do you hear the relay picking up when you engage the door switch? Are you sure plugs are in correctly? There are two fuses as per diagram. Check both

With the doors off the car GROUND the MOTOR and apply 12 volts to one side of the motor plug.
On the motor one terminal is for UP and the other is for down.
On the motor one terminal is for UP and the other is for down.
