Default Fix back of cracked dash pad?

the back of the lower corner of my drivers lower dash pad is cracked. The vinyl is ok. What’s the recommended way to repair the plastic that cracked?

Thanks!

A good epoxy would be best, but it needs to be appropriate for 'styrene' type plastics. Or, maybe "Gorilla Glue" will do it....

I've had luck with the 'PLASTIC EPOXY' category of products such as

Loctite Epoxy Plastic Bonder 0.85-Fluid Ounce Syringe (1363118 )
and
J-B Weld 50133 Plastic Bonder Structural Adhesive Syringe - Dries Tan - 25 ml

CLEAN and scuff the surface, V out the crack, cut a small piece of fiberglass mat to reinforce the area and apply the plastic epoxy

Good info. I think he has a pad with a corner broken loose and just hanging by the [top] vinyl skin. In that case, just cleaning the foam substrate and using the plastic weld epoxy should put the item back together. He might want to use glass on the bottom side to strengthen the spot of the crack.

Presuming it's styrene, plastic model glue (the real thing--not the "safer" stuff they also sell now) should be ideal. The "glue" is actually solvent mixed with plastic. It slightly dissolves the pieces to be joined and the result is a "solvent welded" joint.

If it can't be fixed with duck tape or JB Weld might as well replace it.
