I have all of my vehicles coated. The C6, Acura and Sierra are coated in Kamikaze Enrei ceramic. The C3 is coated with Flight Shield Reactive Polymer. The secret to the shine is not the coating but the paint correction with the removal of all imperfections, old or new paint.
Is it worth it? That's subjective. There are products you can apply yourself and there are detailers that apply it. Professional application is not cheap. What I like, and it is worth it to me, is that the paint corrected shine and reflectivity is long lasting. Secondly the product is a sacrificial layer that takes the abuse caused by sun, bird poo, water spots, etc.
I was thinking about getting my newly painted C3 ceramic coated. Has anyone had this done? Is it worth it? Anyone have before and after Pics?
Right after the new paint job is the best time. You will not regret it. Super shine, harder finish. As Alan stated go to the general corvette, car care discussion.
Tomorrow I pick up my 2013 ZR1 that I had Xpel applied on the front and then Ceramic Pro plus applied to the whole car. I will post pics.
